Rachel Bani is a second-year Ph.D. student in Musicology from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Her primary research interests straddle the intersection between "traditional" and "art" music in eighteenth century Scotland, navigating politics, issues of identity, and the romanticization of Scotland as a "place." She also pursues research in soundscape studies, the digital humanities, and mission music of the Americas.
